Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to Papa and Grandpa! Henley has been talking non-stop about how much she loves you today. She is so lucky to have such loving 'Grand Dads'.

And as for Henley, there is no stopping her. She is crawling and cruising everywhere. Her favorite thing is to hang onto the stair balusters and move from one side of the stairs to the other. They are the perfect height for her to grab onto while she is standing. She just loves to pull herself up and stand so she can show that she is a "big girl".

She has also started to regularly test us. We will tell her "No Henley" and she will either start crying or stomp her hands/feet in disgust...and then of course test us again to see if we really meant it. Oh the joys of parenthood! But even on the worst days, you can't help but laugh at her and love her. She just does the funniest things even when she is mad.

Henley - I am so glad God gave me the privilege to be your father. You bring me so much happiness and joy. Your Dad loves you very much.

1st trip to the park

Last weekend we took our first trip to the park. Henley got to swing and go down the slide. She seemed to enjoy herself except it was so hot! Her little cheeks were so red. :-)

She has now cut her first 2 teeth. She has been a little more fussy than normal but nothing bad. Still my happy girl!

8 Months

Happy 8 Months Henley! Your Mom and Dad love you very much!

Zooming Around

I am so far behind on my posts!!! Time just slips away. Where to begin...

Henley is all over the place! She is crawling and squirming and pushing and pulling non-stop. She can crawl around with no problems now. In one room and then gone and then back again. She even tries to chase Macy around. You can tell she wants to walk so badly. She will pull up on any and everything she can get her hands on. In fact, yesterday she got herself up to her feet without holding onto anything which kind of freaked me out. Oh man, she will be walking soon.

She loves to feed herself. We started the "graduate foods" as snacks along with the regular jars. So in addition to the Mum Mum, which she has mastered, she is now feeding herself Gerber cereal, puffs, and wagon wheels. And she wants to do it herself! No help from us! In fact, she gets frustrated with April and I when we feed her dinner because she wants to do it. Is that a sign that it really will be the terrible twos?

She is also talking (well jabbering) more and more. She has moved on from DaDa and is now saying MaMaMa which of course melts April's heart. And the big news of the day is that her first tooth is cutting through. You can feel and see it cutting through the gums. How exciting!

She is just too cute. We love her so much!
