April had her 32 week check up yesterday. Everything is progressing on schedule. The doctor said she couldn't be any more "textbook" if she tried. The baby's growth is perfect, the heartbeat sounds great, and all of her tests have come back on target. The doctor said if he had to guess he thought Henley would be 7 lbs 7 oz but that's just a guess. We are so very thankful for a "complication free" pregnancy so far.
We are counting down the weeks. Henley will be here soon! :-)

Henley's 1st Baby Shower
We had a great time this past weekend. Our sisters, Amanda and Ashley, threw us our first baby shower. We had it at our neighborhood clubhouse and it was so well done. They had tons of food and desserts. The decorations were awesome. They really out did themselves. We got to hang out with old friends and new friends. We were so happy to see everyone and celebrate Henley's pending arrival. Thank you to everyone who came and especially to Amanda and Ashley who did a spectacular job!

3D/4D Ultrasound
So we are at 30 weeks now. Wow, how time flies! We had an exciting day today. This morning we visited the OBGYN for a routine checkup. Everything looks great. April is feeling good and all of her tests have come back "textbook". We are very thankful for a healthy growing little girl.
This afternoon we visited a prenatal imaging company in Greensboro called Tiny Toes. We had a 3D/4D ultrasound and got to see Henley's beautiful little face for the first time. It was such a great experience. She was shy at first. She kept her arms in front of her face for the first 10 minutes despite the fact that April drank half a Mountain Dew before the appointment to get her moving. She was deep in sleep and didn't want to be woken up -- sounds like her mother to me!
After some repositioning and more Mountain Dew she finally showed us her face.
We think she has my nose, ears, and face shape and April's chin and lips. The sonographer said some of the parts will look out of proportion in the ultrasound, particularly the nose and lips. This is due to the angles used to take the pictures and the tight living quarters. I guess we will have to see what she really looks like once she arrives.
We can't wait to meet you Henley Elizabeth...we are counting down the days!
