6 month update

Now that Henley is 6 months old the game has changed. She is more aware of everything going on around her. She is no longer content just sitting in her rocker or being held in one place. She wants to be doing something at all times. Sounds like her Dad. This can be fun, but as most of you know, also exhausting.

Henley has her 6 month checkup later this week. We think she around 17-18 pounds now but we will see. When she is on her stomach, she is either crawling backwards or spinning herself in circles. Yesterday, she got up on both her hands and knees for the first time. So exciting! She has started to figure out how to work her little vocal cords too. She will just blab, blab, blab once she gets going. It is so cute. And of course, her first blabbers were Da-Da-Da. :-)

She is definitely getting taller as she can touch the ground while sitting in her walker now. And she is beginning to figure out how to grab and pull things. The other night we played with the cabinet doors handles for 10 minutes. She loved to open each one and peek inside. It was so fun to watch her little mind at work.

This is such a fun and rewarding stage. You can see her develop more and more each day. We thank God for allowing us to raise Henley and for the love and joy she brings to her Mom and Dad each day!

By the way...she loves her "Diva" sunglasses. Too funny!
